Miche Responds to Questions About Lead

On the Miche facebook page today, a person question about lead in non-leather products.   Here is Miche's response:

“Miche has received several inquiries regarding lead content in our handbags. We implemented a broad product testing program in 2009, which tests for lead and other potentially harmful materials. As a result of this ongoing testing, we are confident that our products are safe. Customer safety is of utmost importance to Miche.”

Update 7/3/2012:  I just got off the phone with Miche. Someone had asked me about compliance with state and federal laws.  Miche stated that there are no federal or state laws that pertain to handbags HOWEVER Miche ensures that they meet the child toy requirements which are 300 parts per million.

  1. I would like to know whether the test results for lead and any other hamful materials are in compliance with state and federal regulations?
